Star Cast: Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Rachel McAdams, and ensemble.
Director: Sam Raimi
What’s Good: Elizabeth Olsen, the most underrated actor on the board continues to make us feel her pain, while Benedict Cumberbatch does all he can to save the world with conviction.
What’s Bad: That urge to make the runtime crisper and the visible convenient routes that were taken to do it.
Loo Break: The runtime is short plus the multiverse is too complex to be understood if you miss a good chunk of time taking the call. Even I held it this time. Ask my friends if you don’t believe me.
Watch or Not?: The MCU is woven into such intricate threads. That you can’t actually watch a movie made in the timeline. It may be mediocre, but you still have to. Where you see is in your hands, and you can give the big screen a shot for it.

Doctor Strange aka Stephen Strange is back after the Avengers reminded the blip in Endgame. He is more lonely and in tune with his powers. Protects the earth from foreign elements. One day a girl falls from the sky and has the power to take herself and people to different universes. But the witch wants her and the game of saving the girl begins.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Movie Review: Script Analysis
You are reading a review written by such a person. Whose favorite Marvel character from the beginning is Wanda Maximoff who is now the Scarlet Witch. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while centered around Stephen Strange and his chronicles of what happens after Wanda defeats Agatha Harkness, takes off from the Westview Post to save the day.
Stephen is old now. His beard is full goatee and he is showing his fairness. Christine is married and she says. That “we weren’t meant to be” in the first 10 minutes. So here’s an emotionally broken man finding his purpose. In a script written by Michael Waldron, which adapted the work of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. He finds his purpose in the next five minutes. convenient. And about this, the whole film becomes, convenient.
Of course, writing offers a lot for our teeth to dig deeper into. The multiverse itself as a concept is new and obscure, but not as attention-grabbing as time travel so far. America Chavez is a new character and absolutely what she is capable of is a mystery. Add to this Elizabeth Olsen’s painfully beautiful Scarlet Witch and there’s a lot to shape up a good movie.
Wanda has been looking for a hook to lay down her life since Vision’s death. She built a family at WandaVision and realized that being a mother gives her a purpose. So now she is struggling to be the only thing she wants and that is to be a mother. The character is so beautifully arched that the strongest woman in the world is single and dreams of having a family. He has to fight the world and even accept the world by calling him a villain. But what matters is the warmth of her children.
The emotional hook is in Scarlet Witch’s kitty the whole time. But shouldn’t the movie have been about Doctor Strange? Well, he continues to create circles of fire and remains conscious of his fantasy potential. As far as this story is concerned, the makers have failed to decide. Where is their emotional depth? In his broken relationship or in the purpose he had assigned to himself? He continues to move universes and teach us diversity, without creating an effect.
A lot could have been done with the three characters in the emotional department. Those who are broken and separated from their loved ones through tragedies. Yes, I also included America Chavez’s separation from her mother. But Sam Raimi and the writer are focused on running.
Plus, this is the movie where Marvel blends Disney+ and its show timeline of movies perfectly. The road ahead is risky but I can already see some good results.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Movie Review: Star Performance
Benedict Cumberbatch is an employee who knows his job well. The actor has continued to maintain his standard wit. Even with Gray and good at playing a double role. The fact that he manages to let the tragedies of his life take the pain out is great.
Elizabeth Olsen has to be the most expressive actor in the MCU. His pain is evident in his eyes. Even when she talks of destruction in order to become a villain. The actor is very good when he has to be emotional and also has a devilish attitude in the same scene. Olsen has one of the best stories and the depth of character is enough to make you feel completely emotionally invested.
Benedict Wong has a newfound pride and deserves it because he is the supreme magician. Oh did I spoiler? Chill you already knew this.

Xochitl Gomez is very raw and unaffected by the madness around him. The actor is very confident and you can see it then. When she overtakes Cumberbatch in one scene (in a good way). Every time someone is confused about Spider-Man and whether he shoots web as his handsome*. So you can’t hold your laughter, and Gomez has a quirky way of saying it.
Rachel McAdams plays a slightly different version of Christine like everyone else and does a good job.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Movie Review: Direction, Music
Back after 9 years of directing, Sam Raimi creates an atmosphere of dread and brings his USP style of creating magic from less-than-expected moments. In one scene, Doctor Strange literally uses musical notes as weapons to defeat his enemy (who won’t reveal who). One scene is delicately handled and Danny Elfman’s melodious music takes it to the next level.
But the filmmaker destroys the effect of the film. While he tries to be smart by minimizing the runtime. Of course, the audience is adjusting to the world and it doesn’t need any foundation. But that does not mean that the film will follow all convenient routes and that the characters will be in the right place at the right time. Also gives Doctor Strange a backseat in his own film, while Wanda ends the show. This undermined the effort to give the character a complete spin-off.
The design of the set is fresh and the marvel level is good. Especially Qamar Taj, which used to be the most peaceful place till now, is now a fort and it turns into a scene. And in a universe, there are buildings like this in New York. Those with flowers growing around them and pizzas are sold in the food ball version. It all looks good. Chavez’s powers have been revamped and I love how gorgeous they look from the start.
Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Movie Review: The Last Word
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while a completely different product than expected, is entertaining. But also gives a hint of mediocrity in parts. You’ll have to see it anyway. But don’t get into it with too much hope. But yes prepare to cheer loudly when Marvel veterans arrive.
