Various anonymous accounts were found on Twitter using the #Oprussia and #OpKremlin hashtags, similar to the #OpISIS campaign, which was earlier launched in an effort to stop the terrorist organization’s online propaganda efforts.

Most of these websites have now recovered.

Ukraine alleges Russia behind the massive cyberattack against the country

It came after Ukraine claimed that Russia was behind launching massive cyberattacks against its government websites and some banks, among other information technology companies.

Microsoft described the attack against Ukraine in a blog post, saying, “Malware, which is designed to look like ransomware. rather than designed to disable.” ,

Cyber attacks are one of the carriers being employed in modern warfare. Which can prove to be dangerous and have the potential to destroy the industrial infrastructure of the country.

Indeed, one of the Anonymous accounts had threatened to do just this to Russia earlier this month.
